Do You Believe in Prophecy?

What if someone told you something that would happen to you in two days and it happened just like they said. Would you be impressed? What if a person wrote a prophecy in a book and it came to pass exactly as it was written 700 years later? Would you be amazed?

The following verses are from Isaiah the prophet and were written in the
Old Testament of the Bible in 740-680 BC.

Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high an lifted up, and greatly exalted. Just as many were astonished at you, My people; So His appearance was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men. Thus He will sprinkle many nations, Kings will shut their mouths on account of Him; For what had not been told them they will see, and what they had not heard they will understand.

Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face, He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.

Christ - The Suffering Servant

All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. He was oppressed and He was afflicted; Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living, for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due?

His grave was assigned with wicked men, yet He was with a rich man in His death, because He had done no violence, nor was there any deceit in His mouth. But the Lord was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it an be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors. Isaiah 52:13-15, 53:1-12 NASV

He is not here, He has risen from the Dead
He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. Matt. 28:6 NASV

Eternity, The Final Frontier!

Isn't this an amazing prophecy? Who else in history could this be describing but Jesus Christ Himself. Just look at all the references to his birth, death, ressurection and ministry.

Let me ask you a question. When you take a trip to a destination you have never been before do make plans on how to get there? Where to stop for gas, food, rest, etc.? What plans have you made for eternity?

The Bible speaks of two destinations for eternity, Heaven and Hell. Heaven is described in the book of Revelation chapter 21 as a paradise with no death, mourning, crying or pain. Hell is described in Isaiah 66:24 as a place of torment where their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched." Eternal torment is further described in the book of Revelation 20:15 as a "Lake of Fire".

How long is Eternity? You can visualize eternity by considering each grain of sand on Earth equals 1,000,000 (1 million) years. How many individual grains of sand do you think there are on the entire planet? Now include every grain of sand in the entire universe and multiply this number by 1,000,000 (1 million years).
Eternity is longer than this answer.

Which Destination in Eternity Have You Made Plans to Go?

Isaiah the prophet perfectly describes in the above passages who Jesus is and what He has done for you and me. As you can clearly see Jesus paid the full price for all of our sins when he went to the cross of Calvary on our behalf. In fact, he received all of God's judgment for sin upon Himself so that you and I could have forgiveness for our sins and live in Heaven forever.

Have you made plans on where you are going to spend your eternity? If not, when you die (and nobody knows when that will be) you will be escorted to Hell to spend your eternity in pain, suffering and anguish submerged in liquid fire. It's your choice.

"But I have heard over and over again that all roads lead to Heaven. Everyone is on a path to enlightenment that ultimately leads you to heaven. Besides, I believe God is loving and would never send me to Hell." Jesus taught more about Hell than He did about Heaven. "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. "But the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it. Matthew 7:13-14.

"But I was baptized when I was a baby!" Baptism before you knew what it meant and represents, will not save you. "But I have given to the poor and fed the hungry!" Works will not save you. "But I have been a good person and lived a moral and just life." Your good, moral life will not save you. The only way to eternal life is through God's only begotten son, Jesus Christ.

John 14:6 NASV: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me".

John 3:18 NASV: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Just as Isaiah the prophet has described in such detail above, Jesus has already suffered in your place for everything you have ever done. Please make plans now to spend eternity in Heaven before you die. Hell would be a horrible, horrible place to spend even one second, but can you imagine be submerged in liquid fire forever?

Please Pray the Prayer Below That Best Fits Your needs.

1. Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe I am a sinner and You died for my sins and You were raised three days later just as Isaiah the prophet described 700 years before you were born. I pray and ask that You would come into my life, forgive me of my sins and make me a new person. Jesus, I pray that You would save me. Amen.

2. Jesus, I don't know if You are the Person being described by Isaiah the Prophet. I don't know if You are the Messiah. I don't know if You are who others say You are, but I want to know. Please reveal Yourself to me and save me. Amen.
